Bishop, Isabel. STUDY FOR "TWO GIRLS." Drawing, ink and wash on paper, circa 1935. Initialed "I.B." lower right. On card stock. 2 7/8 x 3 5/8 (image), 7 x 9 inches (sheet). Provenance: Midtown Galleries, NY, with its label on the frame backing. Framed to 11 7/8 x 12 1/4 inches. A handsome, well finished drawing, relating to Bishop's painting "Two Girls," an oil and tempera on masonite, measuring 20 x 24 inches, which is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY. In excellent condition; some pinholes in the sheet, and some old tape residue, not near the image.
