Provenance, the artist to June Fitzpatrick, Portland, ME. dEmily Nelligan lived in New York City and summered on Great Cranberry Island in Maine, where she did drawings of the visible sea and sky. Always in charcoal and usually on the same paper measuring about 7 x 10 1/2 inches, each drawing makes a unique statement.
