Hinged to a mount. In excellent condition. Adrienne Monnier (French, 1891-1955) was one of the first women in France to have her own bookstore and publsihing company in France. Along with Sylvia Beach, of Shakespeare and Company, she was one one of the most influential literary figures in Paris during the 1920s and 30s. Berenice Abbott lived in Paris during much of that time; according to Sylvia Beach, if one were photographed by Abbott or by Man Ray, it "meant you rated as somebody."
