African Sculpture. BAULE MASK - IVORY COAST. Carved wood. 15 inches; 30.8 cm. Finely carved in classical Baule style, with hair divided into three section, facial scarification, heavily lidded eyes, long narrow nose, small mouth, small ears. Dark staining with white highlights. Elegant and serene.
