Warhol (Attributed), Andy. BE MY VALEN TIME. Ink and gouache, circa 1950s. 10 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches (sheet). A "blotted line" drawing in black ink, with pink gouache coloring. The "putti" are very similar in form and coloring to those Warhol produced as lithographs with hand-coloring for his 1956 book "In The Bottom of My Garden." Inscribed "Be My Valen/Time" in pencil, in handwriting which, upon comparison with other known writings, appears to be that of Andy Warhol. Not signed. Foxing to the sheet, not visible on the drawing, and areas of scotch tape and its residue along the sheet edges.
