Although Sue Fuller is known primarily as a sculptor who created three-dimensional works using threads and fabrics, she spent several years working with S. W. Hayter at Atelier 17 making prints. She had studied with Hans Hoffman, Josef Albers, and the Refionalist Joe Jones, and obtained a Master's Degree from Columbia University. She attended the Degenerate Art Show in Munich in 1937. In 1949 she began experimenting with string and threads to create abstract scultural forms. She was widely exhibited and collected in her lifetime, and received several awards fro her work.
