Framed Jacob Pins was born in Germany and emigrated to Palestine in the 1930s. He is a leading painter, printmaker and book illustrator, with an International reputation. The prints we currently have in inventory date from the 1950s, relatively early in the artist's career. The work is powerful, expressionistic, and executed with great skill. In 2004 Japanese woodblock prints from his personal collection, which he began in 1954, were exhibited at the Isarael Museum in Jerusalem.
