Maurice STERNE
Sterne studied with Thomas Eakins and Alfred Maurer at the
National Academy of Design from 1894-1899. He was married to Mabel Dodge for two years, after which he lived for several years in Italy before returning to New York. He was a successful painter and taught at his own art school.
