Grace Albee was born in Rhode Island, and studied at the RI School of Design. She lived in Paris, New York and later in Doylestown , PA. Her career spanned more than sixty years, She is best known as a printmaker, with her primary medium being wood-engraving. Among her images, the rural scenes she portrayed while living in Pennsylvania, are the most sought after.
