The satirical image shows three distinguished-looking gentlemen, two bearded and looking very serious indeed, the third with a vapid smile, andt each wearing a clown-type hat.Beckwith was born in Boston,MA, He graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine in 1971. There he studied with Thomas Cornell. He and his wife operated an art gallery in Vermont for 28 years. He exhibited widely, and his prints are in numerous public collections.
