Signed in pencil, lower right, and inscribed, lower left "Enters, 1928/With greetings from/Dooly and JS." This was a New Year's card, one of several Sloan did using Angna Enters as the subject. Some copies are inscribed "Greetings, 1928 and some "Enters, 1928," a pun on her name. In excellent condition.Angna Enters was a performer for whom Sloan had great admiration, and with whome he had a long friendship. He did seven etchings of Enters in performance. The piece illustrated in this etching is "Odalisque," which enters based on a painting by Renoir.
