Singer, Clyde (American 1908-1999). TWO GIRLS. Etching, not dated, but peobably 1930s-40s. Titled, inscribed "#4," and signed in pencil and also numbered "4" at the lower right corner of the sheet. 3 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches (plate), 8 1/4 x 5 1/8 inches (sheet). In excellent condition.
Singer was based in Ohio, studied with Thomas Hart Benton and John Steuart Curry, and made paintings and prints which share the aesthetic of Mid-Western Regionalism.
