The National Gallery of Scotland has this etching, and says this about it:"This etching shows a view along Glen Strae on the border between Argyll and Perthshire, across Loch Awe, towards the peaks of Ben Cruachan in the distance. For the darkest areas Cameron has employed retroussage in the printing process, a technique he started using in the 1890s. Using a cloth or a muslin pad, he would draw ink out of the incised lines of the inked plate and spread it to specific parts of the plate’s surface. When printed, this would create a softer and blacker effect in controlled areas, here making a dramatic contrast to the clean lines of the hills in the background."
