Also Stamped Photograph/berenice abbott/50 Commerce St./new york cirt. A contact print with the number "63" in white, recto, upper left, and with "Agfa Safety Film" printed in the corner, upper right, recto. 8 x 10 inches.. In excellent condition. These 8 x 10 images with the stamped and written legends were printed by Abbott herself and her studio assistants for distribution to institutions as part of her obligations to the WPA/Federal Art Project. Prints weren't editioned or numbered, but only a small number of each of the 305 images that were a part of the Changing New York Project were printed. Examples are scarce or rare.
