Stamped verso "Federal Art Project/"Changing New York"/Photographs by Berenice Abbott" and also stamped and inscribed "Christopher and Greenwich Streets Manhattan" Neg # 137/Code: 1I.A.2.192. 8 x 10 inches.. In exccellent condition. These 8 x 10 images with the stamped and written legends were printed by Abbott herself and her studio assistants for distribution to institutions as part of her obligations to the WPA/Federal Art Project. Prints weren't editioned or numbered, but only a small number of each of the 305 images that were a part of the Changing New York Project were printed. Examples are scarce or rare.
