Eric MICHELSEN

Eric Michelsen has been a photographer and painter fro more than forty years. During his years in the U.S. Air Force he photographed planes in flight, and the earth from the air. After retiring from the military, Eric, together with his late wife, the painter and printmaker Yvette Bouchard, established Oyster House Studio and Frame on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a gallery and framing studio. There they featured their own work and that of other local artists, and became known for the high quality of framing work that they did for collectors and other artists. In 2006 Eric and Yvette moved to Maine and relocated the Oyster House to a building in Newcastle, near the bridge which connects Newcastle and Damariscotta. Sadly, Yvette's illness forced the closing of the Oyster House last year. Eric lives in Round Pond, Maine, and the works in this show are scenes from Round Pond Harbor and other locations on the Mid-Coast
