Beraud was a very popular and successful painter of Fin de Siecle Parisian night life. This image of a handsome and elegant performer engaging with elaborately gowned women and gentlemen in white tie and tails, is typical of the milieu in which Beraud moved. 9 1/2 x 14 1/8 inches (image), 11 5/8 x 15 3/4 inches (sheet).
