A small portion he upper left corner (c. 2 x 2 1/2 inches) expertly replaced, small tears along the left edge expertly closed, mounted to Japanese tissue for support (conservators now prefer to use this thin, strong tissue instead of linen, as this paper will expand and contract at a rate similar to that of the paper of the art work, whereas linen will behave differently, often resulting in tears or separations of the work from the mount).
