Number 5 of the DelUXE edition of 99, comprising the book with text and 12 color lithographs, and a separate suite of the twelve lithographs (Six of the lithographs represent set designs by Ernst, and the other six are costume designs by Tanning. (The regular edition was 500 copies, issued without the separate suite, and there were 12 additional "Exemplaires des Artistes" numbered with Roman numerals. This set numbered "5" and signed by both artists in pencil on the Justification page, and with each plate in the separate suite numbered "5/99" and signed by either Ernst or Tanning, as appropriate, in pencil. The book in a chemise and slipcase; the suite in a portfolio, both in yellow cloth. One plate with evidence of being previously framed, else the whole in Fine condition.
