Signed in ink, lower right and numbered "xxxvi" lower left. .Printed on laid paper with a watermark. 10 13/16 × 17 1/16 inches (plate), 11 1/4 x 18 inches (sheet). In a Frederick Keppel & Co. frame, with their label. There us a small hole, caused by a substance that got into the old frame, about an inch below the bottom platemark, well away from the image, else in very good condition. The imge shows the lagoon on a very calm day, with small sailing boats in the water, and the faint outline of the city's buildings in the background. The image, including the reflections in the waer is created almost entirely with vertical lines, ranging from very light to very dark.
