From the original edition of this series, which was published in an edition of 50, of which 20, numbered in Roman numerals (i/xx - xx/xx), were for sale in England, and 30, numbered in Arabic numerals (1/30 - 30/30) were for sale in America. BPL's characterization of the edition as being 60, appears to be erroneous. A second edition of 100, numbered 1/100 to 100/100 was issued in 1978. Sheets, unnumbered and unsigned, removed from the book "The Farmer's Year," also circulate, but should not be confused with these which are printed on different papers and intended to be separate, individual prints. The series of twelve, comprises one print for each month of the year which illustrates a farming activity which takes place in that month. The sheet trimmed irregularly along the top, else in very good condition.
