Edition of 260 printed on Montval paper with the watermark "Picasso." (The total edition of 313 included 50 on a larger sized sheet with a different watermark, and 3 sets printed on vellum). Signed in pencil,lower rignt, and in the plate. (Vollard died before the publication of the edition; the war intervened and in 1950, the entire unpublished edition was purchased from the Vollard estate by Petiet. Petiet was able to secure pencil signatures from Picasso for the majority of the edition, but there are genuine but unsigned copies in the marketplace of most of the prints), 9 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches, 238 x 298 mm. (image); 13 3/8 x 17 1/2 inches, 340 x 445 mm. (sheet). A fine impression in excellent condition. The Minotaur, along with the Sculptor and Model, is one of the major themes of the suite. As the suite progresses, the minotaur changes, ending, in final images, of which this is the penultimate, with the minotaur blind and being led by a young girl.
