Inscribed to Ferris Greenslet (1875-1959, editor of the Atlantic Monthly. director of Houghton Mifflin, and author), signed and dated in 1912 by Coburn in ink on the front free endpaper. Folio, 1/4 calf over gilt-lettered grey paper-covered boards, grey endpapers, 12pp. comprising half-title, title, List of Plates, Foreword by H. G. Wells, and a blank, plus twenty photogravures, each tipped to a sheet of heavy grey paper, of which it is stated that "The Photogravures in this volume are from Plates prepared by the artist, and printed under his Personal Supervision." The leather spine has been replaced with a closely matched leather, and light corner and edge-wear of the boards has been stabilized. The internals are Fine. Very rare complete and with Coburn's signature.
