Glascow's State 9, with the gondola to the left of the ship no longer visible, and the lines below the ship more faint. Printed in sepia on thin laid paper with the Strasbourg Lily watermark. Signed in pencil on the tab with the butterfly and "imp." Pencil notations on the verso include "1089/ER" (about 1 x 1.5 inches) in the right lower quadrant of the sheet, the letters "DO" in the bottom left corner, and the numbers "1878" or "1870" in the lower right corner. 8 x 11 1/2 inches, 202 x 294 mm. In excellent condition. An impression suggesting "early evening", with wiping marks in the sky radiating upward, and wiping marks in the water slanting downward at the left, and toward the right in the area below the ship and at the right quarter of the sheet.
