Edition of fifty, titled, numbered "2/50" inscribed "Lithograph," "Dorset 1980, and "Keeleemeeoomee," and also signed by her with her symbols, all i pencil. Also signed with the red igloo chop of the printer, Kinngait Studios, Cape Dorset, and with the artist's "chop." 19 x 22 inches (image), 22 x 31 inches (sheet). A striking, monumental image in excellent condition, and very fresh. Keeleemeeoomee was among the first generation of Inuit printmakers at Cape Dorset, and a member of one of its leading familes of artists. Anna Kingwatsiak (1911-1971), Tye Adla (1936-1990), and Iyola and Mikigak Kingwatsiak were her sisters. She was the mother of the graphic artist Eliyakota Samualie (1939-1987), and the wife of Samuellie Tunnillie.
