An exceptionally good portrait by Bachardy, from his earliest period, of one of the most iconic figures in American ballet, and enhanced by Mitchell's signature.
Toned, but with a visible line of the white paper across the sheet, about one-third down from the top; the work was apparently displayed where light came through a window, but was was blocked by the window's frame.
