(heet), 17 1/2 x 12 3/8 inches (sheet) In excellent condition. The sheet of laid paper bears a Crowned Strasbourg Lily watermark with the letters that appear to be VGZ, implying Van Gelder Zonen. Though examples exist of this print on this paper with this watermark, this example, given its size, had to have been aside from the published edition, as the Gazette was smaller in size. The etching accompanied an article wbout Whistler in the issue of April. 1881. Whistler lived on Alderney Street, in the Pimlico section of London, at the time he did this etching
