Barnet, Will. JOE. Szoke 13, Cole 12, Johnson 14. Lithograph, 1935. Edition of 12. Titled and signed in pencil. 16 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches (image), 21 3/8 x 15 3/4 inches (sheet). In very good condition, with a 1 1/4 inch tear in the right margin, away from the image. The edition is small, so the print is not common in the market.Barnet is quoted by Cole as follows: "This lithograph was done during the depression. A migration of miners brought Joe's family, 10 in all, to New York. I was delighted to use Joe and his sister Rosie as models." Rosie is the subject of the lithograph titled "Rosie," also from 1935 (Cole 23, Szoke 23, not in Johnson).
