Quarto size (13 3/8 inches, 34 cm.), cloth-backed boards covered in textured Japanese paper with embossed title in Japanese, 9 page essay in English by Leach, with annotations by Hamada, 19 pages of text in Japanese, 122 pages of illustrations including 26 tipped on color plates and 113 black and white photos. Fine throughout. A rare and desirable title. OCLC locates only ten copies; no copy has come to auction, and only one other copy is offered online, but it is the second edition of 1966.
