Bishop, Isabel (American, 1902-1988). SKETCH FOR "THE COATS" Ink and watercolor on paper. Not dated, but likely 1960s.. Not signed, but identified on a label from Midtown Galleries, with a pre-ZipCode address (Zip Codes were introdiced in 1963). Bishop's painting "The Coats," for which her dealer, Midtown Galleries, says this is a sketch, is dated 1967, and her etching with the same title is from 1966. 6 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches (image), framed to 14 3/8 x 10 3/8 inches. In excellent condition.
