One of Hirsch's strongest images, and one of his rarest prints. According to Cole, the image was drawn directly on to the stone in one afternoon, in the Paris studio of Hirsch's printer Gaston Dorfinant; it was the first in a series of remarkable prints on which the two collaborated.
