Also initialed and dated in the stone. 8 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches (image), 12 3/4 x 17 inches (sheet). Chine colle mounted onto heavy wove paper. Remnants of a gallery stamp, and the date 1929 stamed, verso. Some abrasion and adhesive residue at the margin edges of the mount, away from the image, else a Very Good impression. This, "The Bowery Upright," S.26, a lithograph from 1932, and his 1928 etching "Bowery," S.54 are among Marsh's bleakest depictions of the seamy side of New York life. Like almost all of Marsh's prints, done in small editions, this one is uncommon.
