Haas, Hildegarde (American, born Germany, 1926-2002). THE EGYPTIAN. Ink on paper, 1946. Signed and dated, lower right. 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches (image), 11 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches (sheet). The sheet darkened from exposure to light, else in very good condition. This drawing was probably done while Haas was a student at the Art Student's League in New York.
