Unknown Maker.TRAMP ART BOX #3. Box made from multiple layers of chip-carved cigar box wood. Painted in alternating rows of red, white, blue and green, and with using the natural brown of the wood as an additional row, as well as for the handle of the removable lid. The underside is also fully layered, carved, and painted. The interior has a small open box suspended, on the bottom of which is inscribed in ink: "12,002 Notches Made April 17 - 1931." Finely carved and with a beautiful colored surface. .An extraordinary piece. 12 1/2"L x 7 1/2"W x 10"H In Fine condition.
