The first, titled "Ruth," lower left, and signed "Ben-Zion," lower right, depicting a woman gathering sheaves, 3 3/4 x 6 1/8 inches attached to a card 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches, the card inscribed "Happy New Year 1954; the second an untitled abstract composition, signed lower center, 3 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches attached to a card 7 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches, inscribed "Happy New Year! 1956." "Ruth" with dampstain or foxing, and with some losses at the edges; "Untitled with a spot of foxing. Provenance: Lyonel Feininger, T. Lux Feininger. These are likely drawings from a sketchbook sent as New Year's greetings to Feininger as a friend.
