Better known as Edward A. Wilson, he was a prominent book illustrator and commerical artist. This series of lithographs relating to pipelines was likely a commission related to that industry during WWII, and as it got back into domestic production following the war. Some of these images are in the Reba and Dave WIlliams Collection at the National Gallery of Art.
